celebrating a year

On Friday, I celebrated a year since the day I closed my eyes, held my breath, and clicked Submit to file the registration with the state of NY and open my little studio for equity and justice.

Our first year was a year of foundation building, of sketching the blueprints and pouring concrete and dreaming of paint swatches. It was a year of creativity, of experimentation, of failure and rejection sometimes, but mostly of learning the lessons and trying again, and again, and again.

It's been such an unbelievable gift to create work that is sustainable, generative, easeful, nourishing.

I’m thrilled to share a little yearbook, a retrospective on our first year. Take a look! It’s full of notes from some of the fabulous people we’ve gotten to work with, our successes as well as our failures — and not to mention a deep dive into our revenue. Read on to the end to see our dreams for year two, including our new mission, vision, and values — plus a sneaky little announcement!

If you’ve got ideas and dreams of your own that you want to see from Tulsi Strategies in year two, please let me know! Drop me an email at hello@shivani.co.
